Last week here in DC was Restaurant Week - where participating restaurants offered a 3-course lunch for 20.10 and dinner for 35.10. For some, that might not seem like the best deal, especially if you don't get an app, entree and desert when you go out; however, if you can snag a reservation at one of the city's best (and more expensive) restaurants this deal is definitely worth it.
Last year my roommates and I had a going away dinner at Rasika. This year, I got together a crew of friends to celebrate being fabulous TLEs (Top Level Executives) at Vidalia. Both restaurants had extensive RW menus. Food and service were both superb and the experiences were both very unique.
Think you missed out? Not completely. There are some restaurants that are extending their RW menu. Find out more HERE.

More reason to dislike American Airlines
It's a long story, but based on a certain travel experience, I have an extreme dislike for American Airlines. Here's another thing to add to the list of things I find wrong with them -- they are now charging more for the seats closest to the front exit of the plane, calling them "Express Seats."

Current favorite lunch spot :)
Since my job moved from Ballston to Courthouse, my core lunchtime group has been torn apart. Long gone are the days when we'd all just go to the Ballston Common food court and get whatever we want - there's way too much coordinating now. The plus side: I'm not fighting off the urge to eat Chick Fil A every day ;)
I've been at the new office 5 months now and after much culinary exploration I've come across a definite favorite - The Perfect Pita. It's fresh, healthy, affordable and theres so many options it'd take a very long time to try everything on the menu. My currect favorite - the chicken hummus veggie on a whole wheat pita with jalapeno hummus.. (always gotta add in the spice!)
There's a bunch of locations in Northern Virginia and one in DC, so if you're ever near one, I recommend going. I'm still thinking about how tasty my lunch was!
